Three Little Ways to Celebrate being YOU!

We are so excited to have you here! This blog is made for inspiration, guidance, and most of all FUN. Are you finding joy in the every day? When the daily stress of work or home life has you spent, think of this space as a place to come and unwind. After all, isn’t making it to the end of the day a GREAT reason to take some time for yourself? There is no event too small to celebrate. Sometimes, it is completely necessary to throw yourself a party for making it through a long day.

Take a Deep Breath

So cliche, right? Take a deep breath at the end of a long day seems like the most obvious, almost obnoxious way to start a list of three ways to celebrate. BUT, hear me out here. When you are stressed out the first thing you do is hold your breath, grit your teeth, and tense up. Simply taking a deep breath is your way of speaking to your body and saying “We’ve got this!” So often we are so focused on what needs to be done that we put off taking care of ourselves. By being intentional about your breathing you are taking time for a mini-reset. This can be done literally anywhere. And if you have the time to read this you are likely in a sliver of time between five other tasks that need to be done and you have found yourself scrolling on your phone, trying to avoid what needs to be finished.

Pour Yourself a Drink… of Water.

Water is what our body is made up of… well, roughly 60% of it that is. The research shows it is super important to stay hydrated. I love to make a point of carrying water with me everywhere. (And yes, I do have a Stanley that I love.) That will suffice, but, if you are bored of sipping from your daily water cup try switching it up when you are at home. I love grabbing a Mason Jar or even a wine goblet and pouring myself a nice cold glass of water. We probably should be drinking more water than we do. If you aren’t sure how much you should be drinking there is a handy-dandy little calculator on Medical News Today Whether or not you want to track the amounts you are actually drinking you should celebrate keeping yourself hydrated!

Get Cozy at the End of the Day

And finally, getting cozy is definitely a celebration! There is nothing better in the world than coming home after a long day and sliding into your favorite sweatshirt. Or better yet, unwinding with a warm shower and slipping into a big cozy, oversized robe. A key item in my wardrobe is always a plush robe. Keeping the comfortable items as a celebration ritual is an amazing way to treat yourself and it doesn’t take any effort.

Inhale, Exhale, Yet Again

Alright, you’ve now mastered the relaxation. Maybe it is time to approach that next BIG celebration when you are now fully at ease. If that thought brings the panic right back then guess what, we can help!
